Lawn Aeration

Aeration is a lawn care process that involves puncturing the soil with small holes in order to let air, water, and nutrients absorb into the grass roots.

How to tell if your lawn needs aerating:

  • High foot traffic: high frequency of children or pets
  • Newly constructed homes
  • Noticing your lawn remains wet for an extended period of time after rain fall
  • Grass shows heavy wear/thinning

When to aerate your lawn:

The ideal time for lawn aeration is during it's growing season early spring/fall. The reason for this is so the grass can gill any punctured area.

* Do not aerate a lawn that has been seeded or sodded within the last year of planting
